I’m going to share a story with you…
Last night at our Elk Grove Numis Network PBR, we shared information and new concepts we learned in the past week or so. It was all very informative but I have to say, the one thing that struck a chord was the importance of sharing your story with others. Storytelling is the most common art form of sharing stories of the past, change and future coming.
Sharing stories is so powerful, it was even used by the Judge several times while I sat during Jury Duty selection this week!
Another fact… The Bible itself is comprised of stories! And if that’s not the most powerful book on this planet, I don’t know what is.
Even when we turn on the TV, radio or internet, we are constantly being shoved 30 sec stories full of gestures, future desires and change. So when I talk about the importance of storytelling, I’m not just talking about reading a night time story you read to your 4yr old.
No! I’m talking about how you can introduce yourself on stage at your next company event without going into a LONG~~ speech!
So how do you share your story quickly? Well, there are 4 Key Elements to sharing a story effectively.
4 Key Elements to Story Telling in Network Marketing
- Introduction
- Why You Joined
- Results
- How It Can Help Someone Else
- Introduction: Introduce yourself -
“Hello! My name is….“
- Why You Joined: What changed in your life that made you look for an alternative form of income and why the business of Network Marketing –
” I’m a former ___________ ” or “My background is in ________ and I found XYZ company when __________ occured.”
- Results: Share the results you have with your company… Now listen close…DO NOT LIE! DO NOT EXAGGERATE! On the other hand, DO Share what you’ve learned and gained from being with your company. If you’ve made money in your company, then say it! (Guess what?! That makes you a successful network marketer.) –
“XYZ company gave me __________, ____________ and __________; something I couldn’t get as a _______________. I’m happier, healthier,…(you fill in the blanks.)”
- How it can help others: You want to share this opportunity with others because you know it works and you believe in your product, service and opportunity…RUGHT?? Listen, you never know who will resonate with your story so be open and explain how you’re going to help your audience and have great posture. –
“Do you really believe that the stress of not having enough time, money and compromising your health is COMFORTABLE? If your answer is no, then it sounds like you’re ready to get started! I’ll show you ______________________ and together we will ____________________.”
Pretty simple right?!
Well, continuing with my original story of being at our Numis Network PBR event…The importance of sharing stories stayed with me, so, I went into the back office and tried to figure out how we can do this on our NumisNetwork.com site. After looking, I at noticed that after almost 2 yrs in the company, my own Contact Info wasn’t filled out! I just about fell off my seat!
Then I started thinking, how many other previous and new reps didn’t know how to, where to or WHY they should fill out this important piece of information.
So I made a quick “How To” video on how to share your Numis story. Please feel free to share with alll NUMIS reps! We’re all in this together! 
Look, the contact information for the main office is listed and cannot be removed from that page, so your safe if someone calls. What I’m saying to you is, be real! Show your visitors that you are human, that you have a pulse and give them the opportunity to connect with YOU TOO…not just home office!
So with that being said, all Numis Reps, young and old, new and existing…go into your back office, and follow the steps provided in this post and video, and introduce yourself and share how your A REAL PERSON OF NUMIS!
